Off road on Long Island?

I haven't had a 4x4 since the late '80s so I don't know of anywhere to run my '01 through it's paces and get it a little muddy. Anyone from the Nassau/Suffolk county area that knows of places I can go (other than the beach)?

I signed up to join LINXC a few weeks ago. I've been waiting to get a confirmation email so I can access the site. Nothing so far. If you know anyone there, I'm still interested in joining.

That place is pretty much dead. Most of the guys that were active there are done and the last time I checked the places I had gone to wheel legally are now closed. Even the beach is closed most of the time and when it is open you need a permit and a fishing license.
Kind of sad.
