tps?? help

Here we go..i recently reinstalled my timing belt after my cousin put it on wrong. It ran bad for two days and wouldnt crank anymore, so i tore everything back down and found the belt wasnt align right. i found all marks at tdc an reinstalled the belt...it started right up after that..but here is my problem. When i crank it idles high sometimes..also when im driving i get the herky jerky effect when i press the gas sometimes it goes away. It dosent shift out of second gear but it has plenty power. i was wondering was it still the timing belt or something else like the tps? All help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance guys.

tps can cause issues similar to yours. did you remove it? If so try adjusting it.
