Shifting into/out of 4-low requires being stopped and being in neutral or park. You can only go up to about 25mph in 4-low. 4-high can be done on the fly up to ~25mph (not sure if i remember that number correctly) and you can drive up to like 60... and shift from 4-high to 2wd on the fly at any speed. Read your owner's manual to check my numbers.

Thats interesting some of you dont have the black sticker on the back of your visor for the 4x4. Wonder if they just didnt come with them or the dealer (or the owner) removed it...

They are pretty hard to remove as they are usually glued to the fabric. when i bedlined my a-pillar and handles i also did the visors black. I ended up just painting over it lol

i have 2000 nissan frontier and my manuel say that i have to be going under 25 mph to shift into 4h however i usally shift at speed under 25 mph some time it does not always shift easy. i try shift in to 4h before in neutral and it seems to shift smother in neutral is it bad to shift to 4h in neutral. The manuel does not say if i can have it in neutral to switch it to 4h.can i also put it into 4h in park.
