Arrow Offroad Budget tips.

I used some basics for an offroad recovery roof mount kit. Quadratrek for some stock roofrack light mounts. And fourtreks makes an excellent dual shovel / axe mount for your factory rack. Dont forget Home Dept. for top quality / low price for your shovel & axe. I used coupons for harbor freight for my come alongs and recovery straps as well as an oversized tool box to keep my recovery / survival gear in the back. All of these are the best bang for the buck and TRUST ME, I shopped around extensively.

Here is a simple mod that some tend to over look. Easy and cheap.
Paint your calipers, brake drum, gas cover, differential.
Model paint to accent the logos inside and out.

Important requirement not a mod. Is do a detailed inspection of your X.
From bushing to U-joints, LBJ, steering components. Insert new grease where needed.
Check your hoses & belts. Top off fluids.

Also, slowly gather parts, tools etc.... for a mod that you have in mind.

I mounted a mini maglite to the front of the reading light housing. Also, I made a custom lightbar for my daylighters for 30 bucks. Like others I also mounted shortly shovel to inside of rear hatch. Knuckle clamps only 8 bucks from cabelas. I am a plumber and had scrap copper and fab'd a roofrack then rattle can'd it. Mounted hilift to it with more knuckle clamps. Sturdy and looks pretty good. The price was right anyway. Will post pics if anyone wants to see it them

This is an old thread I started last December. I already have just about everything I could want on my X and a snorkel going on next week. But I guess the newbies can still get some ideas.

Haha! I saw this thread and then clicked on it.. I was confused on what more you would want to do to your beast?! Haha. It wasn't until I read the entire post to find it it was from 2011.. Then it all made sense haha
