Braided steel lines would only really help with flexibility and just overall strength of the cable for bringing it over rocks etc. (Correct me if I'm wrong) I think that one would get the most braking power of the pads they were using.

Ah sorry, I should of been more specific. I was referring to brake pedal feel not brake performance.

Is there a reason why people go with an aftermarket locker solution as opposed to sourcing the Off Road model's OEM parts?

ShiftingSkys will become famous soon enough
Aftermarket designs are typically better as well as the sheer cost to purchase one from nissan and have it installed.

Hey all!

I'm still looking for that perfect Xterra and am actually going to see a few 09s tomorrow. I've come up with a few more questions I hope you could help me with.

It looks like an Offroad in the years I want will be out of my price range (as well as simply hard as hell to find) so I've been looking at S models and thinking about getting air locker(s) down the line. Besides the ability to lock the axles immediately (as opposed to needing a revolution of the wheels), what advantages do air lockers have over electric lockers? What are the disadvantages? Besides wheels and cosmetics am I going to be missing anything else by not getting an Offroad model?
I was also wondering if 2wd mode is FWD or RWD and what the advantage is over running in 4hi.

Thanks!
