Question

Got a question: I am about to perform maintenance on my newly acquired 2001 SE - basic tune up service - should I just use parts from local O'Reillys ect like other vehicles or is it worth it to use OEM stuff?

Oops

Sorry...this should be in the maintenance thread- I'm obviously not a big forum guy- still getting the hang of it.

Here is fine. NGK spark plugs for certain and #6 plug can be challenging as it's in a bad spot. I like to use OEM for the wires and distributor cap and rotor but plenty of people have had no problems using aftermarket items.

Do a search through the tacked DIY list found here and you'll find directions that will be helpful on #6 spark plug.

#6 does suck. I had to have my wife pull the plug wire for me. My hands were too big to get in there.

P.S. don't lean too hard on the radiator. Thats how I broke off the neck to the top hose. Although it was a good excuse to upgrade to a SC Radiator
