OK, I'm still in recovery mode...I don't have a concrete plan yet other than to see if I have any $, and/or any time and/or a break from the arthritis, later.

If yes to any of the above...I have options. IE: Get the engine swapped/repaired, buy another rig and swap the parts over one way or the other, etc.

If no, well, I'm already AT no.

sucks when these things happen. if you've got a place to let 'er sit ,do what I did last year. it sat in the garage for 14 months until i had time last winter. in my case it wasn't because of love of the rig just too far in to let go and to stubborn to quit.if you go that way you probably know a hell of a lot more than me so I'm not offering any advice just sympathy and the suggestion.

As there are other issues with the X, I've decided to buy another 1st gen, and just swap stuff over.

That will free me from the bell housing/clutch/flywheel/starter mismatches I've been plagued with.

So, need a gently used 1st gen I can use as a mule.

I believe that's the best plan.

sounds like a plan...

Really, know our rides have a lot of sentimental value to each of us, but sometimes, another vehicle just makes the most financial sense.
