03 X stalling out

I have a supercharged 03 X which has been awesome to me! But it has 160k miles on it. In Sept. it started giving me a hard time starting...I thought it was the starter but since it didn't always give me a hard time I left it alone but today while driving down the road it completely stalled out on me while driving. I was not stopped, in fact I had just come around a corner when it happened. It had about a quarter tank of gas in it. When it happened the check engine light came on first and then the brake light came on and then everything else turned off except the radio. If anyone has any suggestions I would greatly appreciate the help!

When you say hard time starting....would it crank but not start...or not crank at all?

It starts every time well until now but I would have to hold it for a few seconds and it would turn over.
