Used an aftermarket dash kit to adapt this unit Model(CY06G) now I have Auxilary,MP3, and IPod with a stock look.

Looks awesome! I think you are the first one I have seen to adapt another Nissan radio to the X.

Hey Manny,

How difficult was this to install? I like the look of the stock radio! I have a 2011 Xterra S with the basic stock stereo (no steering wheel controls). Can you please confirm what dash kit you used and if you needed any other things like a wiring harness, etc.

Thanks for any help!

Just did this myself. It doesn't seem to sound quite as good on standard radio as the stocker did, but CD and Aux sound ok. Trying to decide if the different color backlight on the radio bothers me or not. Definitely a clean look and a cheap fix - stereo cost me $70 and another $14 for the install kit.
