Thanks. Got the iPod cable on order and that will route into the glove box upper compartment so everything is hidden. Fits good using the factor brackets from my stock radio.
How difficult was this to install? I like the look of the stock radio! I have a 2011 Xterra S with the basic stock stereo (no steering wheel controls). Can you please confirm what dash kit you used and if you needed any other things like a wiring harness, etc.
Just did this myself. It doesn't seem to sound quite as good on standard radio as the stocker did, but CD and Aux sound ok. Trying to decide if the different color backlight on the radio bothers me or not. Definitely a clean look and a cheap fix - stereo cost me $70 and another $14 for the install kit.
It has been a while, but do you recall which metro kit you ordered? My search came up with two options. Any help you can provide would be appreciated. You have been a pioneer, as far as I can find. Well done!
Just installed this same radio in a 2010 S Xterra. Can you or anyone else tell me what iPod harness you bought (part number)? Also, I only used two of the plug-ins on the back of the radio; that leaves two unused. Which of those two is for the iPod interface? Thanks.
