Hey guys, i'm wondering if i should use copper spray gasket or the #1 form-a-gasket on the headgasket or just use it dry as is? Block deck and cylinder head surfaces will only be cleaned, not machined.

Definantly. If your nail catches it then hell yeah. That right there is its own feeler gauge. Scratches like that are why you have it resurfaced. (other than it being warped)
I say if your going through the work to rebuild the motor spend the money to do it right...

This^^ I know it takes longer but those scratches would concern me. Couple that with concerns over what caused the issue to begin with and it being an aluminum head and I would resurface both of them.
