AZXC Expanding in 2012 & 2013!! Check it out!

Fellow Xterra Owners:

It’s hard to believe that 2011 is almost behind us and 2012 is right on our doorstep and we are kicking off 2012 with a trail run through Box Canyon! That is just the first of many events that are currently in the works for the 2012 year at AZXC. The second event of the year will also be in January, on the 15th. This will be our first meeting of 2012, followed by a day at the range!

In 2012 we are focusing on events geared not just to 4wd Xterras but the entire AZXC community. We will continue to organize 4WD events, along with trail runs that allow our 2WD friends to join in! BBQs, the annual Chili Cook-off, and other family oriented events will also be on the calendar in 2012.

We also want to give a special thanks to our supporting members of AZXC! $25 goes a long way in helping us organize events, help to cover costs of meeting food/refreshments and to donate to charities such as Toys for Tots, which AZXC has been doing for a number of years! If you are not a supporting member of AZXC, or have not renewed your supporting membership for 2012, log into the forum and click the donations tab. It quick and easy, plus you get access to an exclusive section of the forum along with an awesome new reflective AZXC club sticker! Thanks in advance for your continued support!

Hope everyone has a safe New Year, and we look forward to seeing you at a future AZXC event!

Your friends,
The Arizona Xterra Club Team.

We have finalized some of the events for the upcoming months! We have some amazing stuff going on through April. 2013 is shaping up to be the best year we have had in a long time! Check out the new logo the membership voted in as well. Special thanks again to Rev for designing this logo.

It’s that time of year again where we put together an AZXC gear order. As of today the new stickers are on the way. 7-10 days for printing then shipping. We plan to have the stickers in hand within 2 weeks and out to the membership shortly thereafter. We are also putting together a T-shirt/Hooded Sweatshirt order. Deadline for the first run is Jan 31. Prices and color options are up on the forum under AZXC Gear. Don’t forget to check out the website as well at www.azxterraclub.com and also make sure you check out the forum new features such as the member map and updated profile settings.

So what is going on in the next few months you may ask? Well in February we have a camping trip coming up. This trip will be held down in the Tucson area the weekend of Feb 15. We have members coming from all over the state and out of state for this event. March we have our annual Chili Cook-off scheduled, date for that is March 16. With all the new members on AZXC it will be interesting to see who the winner will be this year! March 31 AZXC has an Xcursion planned to Smiley Rock; this will be in conjunction with a camping weekend as well. April meeting is scheduled for April 27 and we are working out location for this, but as the temperatures start to rise for the summer and we do not want to leave our members from northern AZ out of the loop the plan is to go up to the Sedona/Flagstaff area for this meeting.

Now for the month of May, as many of you know it’s GoneMoab2013 this year. AZXC is a sponsor for this event for the second year in a row. We are currently in the process of voting on what sponsorship level AZXC will be this year. Check that out the polls on the forum for this and make your vote count.

We would also like to welcome all the new members to AZXC. We have new people signing up daily.
Your AZXC team is also working with new sponsors to make this the year that we all remember. Make sure you check out the current sponsors websites and thank them for supporting our events and club!

AZXC 2013 is going to be the year! We are growing faster than ever before. January 2013 is a record breaking month. We are smashing all the other records of hits and posts to our website and forum. Thank you to all the supporting members and supporting vendors for all your help and participation.

Need some AZXC swag? Well, our new logo stickers have shipped out! If you want a new sticker you have to become a supporting member of AZXC. We are also in the process of putting together a T-shirt/Hooded Sweatshirt order with the new logo and cool design on the back. Check that out on the forum, and a special thank you to Rev who is quickly becoming the AZXC designer.

Don’t forget that February 15 we have a camping trip coming up. This trip will be held down in the Tucson area that weekend. We have members coming from all over the state and out of state for this event. As always AZXC will “Tread Lightly” on the trails and while camping. Check out the forum for more information about this and all of the upcoming events we have planned.

This year AZXC is a proud sponsor of GoneMoab 2013. GoneMoab is the premier Nissan event of the year and we are glad to be a part of this exciting week in the 4 wheeling mecca in Moab, Utah.

Your AZXC team would like to welcome RotoPax and TrashARoo to AZXC! Those companies along with all of our other supporting vendors are the ones who supply all the giveaway gear. Please support them as they are supporting the premier Nissan club. To check out all the supporting vendors check out www.azxterraclub.com/links.

January is over and February is off to another fast pace! Thank you to everyone who helped start off the year with a bang as AZXC has taken off for 2013.

The new 2013 design stickers have arrived and we are in the process of shipping those out to all of the supporting members. You should have them by the end of the week. If you are scratching your head and wondering what new sticker looks like then check out the forum.

Need some AZXC Gear; check out www.azxterraclub.com/AZXCGear. We have placed our first order for T-shirts and sweatshirts. These will be back from the printer by February 15th right in time for the Tucson Camping trip that weekend. If you ordered any gear we will have it down with us at the Tucson trip to hand out. We are also in the process of putting together an aluminum water bottle order; more information again is on the forum.

Wondering when the next Xcursion is? Check out www.azxterraclub.com/Xcursions. There is a lot of upcoming trips all over the region.

As always if you have any questions let us know.

May be a stupid question, but I use Linux and Firefox and the site shows up as a narrow section in the middle of my browser and is kind of a PITA to navigate. Is there some setting in the User CP that allows it to go full screen? Or maybe it's because I'm using Linux. Tried in Chrome too, same look.

Edit: I'm referring to azxterraclub site.

Hmm you might try bypassing the site and going straight to the forums using this address: http://www.azxterraclub.com/forum/index.php

That should keep the main site from opening the forums up inside a frame and maybe help what you're seeing. That's definitely not a user controlled function, and it would be weird for one site to do that and not another... maybe it has something to do with how the php is being recognized by the shell in the linux version of the browsers.

I'll poke 11Pro4x who's basically the web admin and see what he thinks (Though really I don't think any of us are that familiar with Linux, but we'll see if we can find something for ya  )

Tell me about it, I have to support Windows and Mac users for the college here in Tucson, and users who can see something fine on Firefox for Windows don't always see it fine on Firefox for Mac...
In fact right now I'm dealing with Apple just deciding to arbitrarily shut down all Java functionality remotely on potentially millions of Mac computers without notice or even asking "Hey there's a security flaw in Java, would you like to disable it for the time being?" So now I have a bunch of mac users that are asking me why they can't access our site, and I have to hide in a corner and cry, "Don't blame us, Apple did it, really!"

Glad you were able to join up  We'll see you around.

Well this has been an exciting time. We have launched two sister sites to Arizona Xterra Club this past two weeks we launched Arizona Frontier Club along with Arizona Titan Club. Thank you to everyone for their support as we grow the AZ All Nissan Club. Make sure you check out the forum for all the new things in the works and don’t forget to create a build page in the garage section.

Next weekend, February 15-17 is the Tucson Camping trip. Some will be traveling on Friday for this as other will be meeting up on Saturday. Make sure you check the information out on the forum. GPS Coordinates have also been posted with a map of the camping location. We hope to see everyone out there. There will be a club meeting held on Saturday for everyone along with all the new gear will be available for those that have ordered. If you didn’t get an order in we will have extras of everything but it will be first come first serve.

There are also club events that are planned through the month of May. Check out the latest in the Club Xcursion section of your forum.

As we grow your AZ All Nissan Club team is working on more sponsors as well as developing relationships with our current sponsors. Please check out their section on the forum as this is a great way to directly speak with them. The current sponsors not only donated some product for raffles but some also extended out special discounts to the members. We have everything from Nisstec Lifts (Home - Nisstec Lifts: Nissan Lift Kits: XTerra Lift Kits, Frontier Lift Kits, Titan Lift Kits, Nissan Truck Lift Kits) which offers suspension components for the Xterra, Frontier, and Tiitan to recovery gear and much more. IF you need to secure all our gear don’t forget to check out Raingler Nets (Jeep & Cargo Nets), who offers the best damn nets and grips in the business!

Thank you to all off the supporting members for 2013 as well. This year we re-branded the club and everyone received a new sticker for their vehicle. Along with the new stickers we use the supporting membership to pay for club events, permits, along with food and refreshments for our bigger events like the camping trip upcoming. If you have not become a supporting member and would like to there is a donate tab on the main page of the forum to do so. We thank you in advance for your support of AZXC/AZFC & AZTC.

Its going to be an exciting 2013!
