AZXC Expanding in 2012 & 2013!! Check it out!

Fellow Xterra Owners:

It’s hard to believe that 2011 is almost behind us and 2012 is right on our doorstep and we are kicking off 2012 with a trail run through Box Canyon! That is just the first of many events that are currently in the works for the 2012 year at AZXC. The second event of the year will also be in January, on the 15th. This will be our first meeting of 2012, followed by a day at the range!

In 2012 we are focusing on events geared not just to 4wd Xterras but the entire AZXC community. We will continue to organize 4WD events, along with trail runs that allow our 2WD friends to join in! BBQs, the annual Chili Cook-off, and other family oriented events will also be on the calendar in 2012.

We also want to give a special thanks to our supporting members of AZXC! $25 goes a long way in helping us organize events, help to cover costs of meeting food/refreshments and to donate to charities such as Toys for Tots, which AZXC has been doing for a number of years! If you are not a supporting member of AZXC, or have not renewed your supporting membership for 2012, log into the forum and click the donations tab. It quick and easy, plus you get access to an exclusive section of the forum along with an awesome new reflective AZXC club sticker! Thanks in advance for your continued support!

Hope everyone has a safe New Year, and we look forward to seeing you at a future AZXC event!

Your friends,
The Arizona Xterra Club Team.

Hello AZXC members:

With January winding down and 2012 in full swing we wanted to send a recap of where your Arizona Xterra Club is headed for 2012.

As many of you know, we kicked of 2012 with an off road adventure through the box canyon outside of Florence Junction AZ. Everyone had an awesome time during the run and it was a great to meet some new faces who are on board with AZXC. On January 15 we held our first meeting in 2012, where we covered a lot of stuff for the upcoming year and held officer elections for 2012.

February is also shaping up to be a busy month for AZXC. We have a camping trip coming up in the Tucson area the weekend of February 18. Make sure you check out the information on the forum and sign up! Don’t forget the joint AZXC/SCCX Rattlesnake Canyon Sand to Snow Xcursion trip that is being held on February 11. We hear this is a great adventure!

Our goals for the club this year are to grow AZXC and be nationally recognized as the premier Xterra Club! With the great group of members we have and the growth potential of AZXC this should be effortless task. Your AZXC team has also reached out to over 40 sponsors for 2012. As the sponsors start coming onto our forum, please make sure to support the sponsors and thank them for their support of AZXC. We will also have flyers available soon for each of you to be able to hand out to Xterra owners.

Some of you may have also noticed that raffles have popped up on the forum. These raffles are open to our supporting members of AZXC. In the first month of 2012 we have raffled off over $130 in prizes. This trend will continue, so make sure to become a supporting member of AZXC. Cost is a minimal $25 to be a supporting member with full access to the forum, new reflective AZXC sticker and entries into the raffles!

We are also tossing around some ideas for the next few months which include a Ski/Board trip up to SnowBowl in Flagstaff AZ. If you want to take your Xterra up north and show off on the slopes make sure you sign up! If anyone needs any help or guidance with any “mods” please also make sure to post up. Many of us have completed a certain mod on our vehicles and are always offering to lend an extra hand or garage space to help out another AZXC member.

One last thing; Chili Cook-Off in March! As a long standing tradition of AZXC, this will continue in 2012! Stay tuned for details on dates and location of this annual event!

2012 is in full swing with 6 days left in January, then it will be in the record books! We smashed all of our forum records for site hits, number of posts, and number of new topics! Your elected officers of the premier Xterra club want to start off by saying THANK YOU! If it wasn’t for all the members of your Arizona Xterra club we would not be as successful as we have been. We all have a vision of making AZXC recognized across the nation as the “club” everyone wants to be a part of and we are well underway to accomplishing this goal.

Some of the new things we all saw in our first month of 2012 included raffles, truck of the month, and more Xcursions than ever. We have held three (3) successful raffles giving away more than $150 in raffle prizes. The first ever AZXC Truck of the month poll is underway, where the winner’s picture will be posted up on the AZXC Home Page (www.AZXterraClub.com) and also on the forum welcome page! The 2012 AZXC Kick-Off Run was a huge success as was our first meeting of 2012 and Day @ The Range! Make sure you check out the pictures on the forum!

With February less than a week away we have more Xcursions planned! February 11 is the Joint AZXC/SCCX Rattlesnake Canyon Sand to Snow Xcursion. February 18 & 19 is the Tucson AZXC Camping trip, and we will finish off the month February 25 with a “Mod” day. All the details can be found on the forum.

The month of March is also in the works. The Annual AZXC Chili Cook-Off is being planned for the 4th Saturday of the month at Kiwanis Park in Tempe. We will also be planning more March Xcursions before the temperatures start to heat up in AZ.

Thanks you to all the members of AZXC, especially the supporting members, without you we would not be able to make things happen. If you haven’t renewed your supporting membership, don’t forget to do so. If you want to become a supporting member just log into the website or forum and click the PayPal Donate tab. Again thank you for your support this is YOUR Arizona Xterra Club!

Any questions email us at info@azxterraclub.com

Your Arizona Xterra Club Team,

That raffle is currently on going on the forum so check it out. There are some rules for the raffle so make sure you read up on those as well. We do have our Tucson Camping/Wheeling Xcursion mid-month, followed by a “MOD” day/ Meet & Greet on Feb 25th. More details can be found on the forum.

Lastly we want to thank the Supporting Members of AZXC along with our sponsors. Without them we would not have such a successful start to 2012!

Well with 1 day left in February 2012, we will say it was another successful month at your Arizona Xterra Club.

Just to recap we held a “Mod” day in conjunction with a meeting along with a Tucson Xcursion/Camping trip. Also this month Sunny1881 put together an awesome trail run to Sunflower Mine. What an awesome day that was. Check out pictures from the events on the forum.

March planning is pretty much complete. We have an Xcursion/Camping trip planned; “Montana Mountain 1 Year Later” along with the annual Chili Cook-Off. Deadpilot also has a member coordinated run planned in Yuma AZ. If you haven’t signed up for these events, what are you waiting for!

We would also like to welcome Superwinch, Expeditioneers and 4X4 Parts.com as sponsors to AZXC! These three great sponsors along with PIAA, Xoskel, Hunter Off-Road, RockAuto, and Partsgeek help make your Arizona Xterra Club what it is today. Please support these companies and check out their websites!

Happy New Year from AZXC! Well the New Year is here and we are in our 13th year as AZXC.

We held our 2nd annual Kick-Off Run on December 30th. The run this year took us the Back Way to Crown King. What an adventure it was. About 5500feet up the mountain is started snowing. We went from partly cloudy skies in the valley to a snow storm up in Crown King. Pictures can be found on the forum.

In 2013 we are making more of an effort to expand the club to include all Nissan trucks. Throughout our history we have welcomed anyone to come to events we held but this year we are making more of an effort to include everyone. January 19, 2013 is our first meeting of 2013. We will be discussing a lot of topics so make sure you mark you calendars and we will see you at the meeting. Details can be found on the forum.

2013 Dues deadline is January 31, 2013. Make sure if you are a supporting member of AZXC you renew by this date. Go on the forum and click the donate tab, or you can pay these at the upcoming meeting.

The AZXC team is also working on new sponsors for 2013. Stay tuned for exciting changes coming this year.
