Decided to take my son to a local hotspot where alot of truck meet just to explore, test trucks, get muddy, swamping etc.. This was my first time here. In total as I looked arounf there was about 20+ trucks, various styles from old toyotas, flatbed trucks, pick-ups and alot of Jeeps as usual. Did not see one Nissan truck of any kind. This location is on the north side of Stave lake, basically a huge riverbed flat, alot of deep holes, MUD and Alot of Mud!!! 50% of the time you really have to pick your line or else or being pulled out. Once I have my sway bars and rear lift done this week next time will be alot easier. I will plan another trip there soon, make a fire, roast some dogs, Yummmm.

One lesson I learned not ever water hole is the same. I knew right away half way through I was not in a good state. Sunk it down and got hung up in the middle. Lucky another guy was helpful to pull me out(behind me in the pic). On this picture the water level was up to the drivers door. I just had a blast.
It felt good to get out for the first time in 2013. Loved the 31" mud tires, made my happy. After that we drove up a mountain road up the snow line and low and behold there is this couple in an 2013 audi sports car slowly driving around every mud hole and throwing rocks by hand just to get up. Just dumb if you ask me.

Nice. I had my own mud trip on the 5th, quite by accident. I pulled over to check out the access under a bridge over the Brazos river here in TX, since I kayak a lot, and it's been rainy here. I got down there fine, but on the way back up, I slid into some pretty deep existing ruts full of mud and water, and couldn't get out of em, so I popped it in 4 low and let her rip...150 yards of sloppy ruts. I managed to plow my way out, even on 31's. I'd love to try some real offroading, but haven't had much luck finding other X drivers in Houston area.

Thats how it is around here at offroad parks. Noone ever see's Nissan's of any kinds. This is exactly why I'm looking forward to spring. I just started getting interested in a couple 4x4's club's around here and everyone says they have never seen an Xterra ORing. I will be changing that come spring. :D
