Xterra 2006 4wd V6-4.0L

i just replaced the spark plugs and FYI, the one that were installed by the factory are the NGK PLFR5A-11 with a gap of 0.40

The maintenance manual says that you can change them at 100000+ miles but mine have been runing for 80000 miles and they were good for the trash..

Tips if you decide to do the job yourself... Have the proper tool and be patient because it is going to be a 2-3 hours job process because of the 3 plugs that a located on the batterie side..you will need to remove the all air admission, elctrical plugs and more.. no jokes

Good luck

Removing the intake Plentum isn't all that bad. I've removed and replaced mine so many times now after chasing a P0300 multi Cylinder Misfire problem down (which I am still working on) I can do it in about an hour and a half. Couple pain in the azz things you have to unhook but fairly easy job.

Hello,
Unfurtunatly, you will have no choice to remove the intake because it will be impossible to remove the front and middle spark plugs located on the battery side due to their lengths and also wont be possible to get the wrench down the cylinder to remove the sparks..
The 3 plugs on the air filter side will take you about 30 min to replace them and it will take you another 2 hours to replaced the 3 others on the battery side..
Make sure that you have all the necessary tools before doing the job or you will get really fustrated..
good luck
