Hey all,

I'm glad to have found a site that is as crazy about their Xterra like I am! I've been an Xterra owner for just over a year now and I love it. I have a 2003 and I will never part with it. I'm just starting to make modifications to it. I installed a grill guard on it recently.

I look forward to hearing about everyone's Xterra and finding out what else I can do to mine.

Welcome. Cool Rims!

Mods are addicting, but usually cheaper and better for you than drugs! :angst-big:

My suggestion on the mods is to think through the process. This will allow you to do things in a organized order so you are not taking parts off of the vehicle numerous times.

For example, if you want to put roof lights on the xterra and you are going to drill a hole in the roof under the front leg of the roof rack and run the wiring in & out of the roof rack. It would be best to buy the lights/wiring and when you detach the roof rack to mount the lights/run the wires paint it then verses doing the painting now and then having to go back and take the rack off again later to install the lights. Of course this is all dependant on money and what we can afford to do at the time.

I have restored a few classic cars and sometimes you are your own worst enemy when it comes to breaking parts, stripping threads, etc. If I can plan appropriately and just put a part on once that is what I try and do.
