chumpmann 09-01-2006, 01:00 PM Ok, so I fially got the wheels I ordered, 2 months after I ordered them. The center had to be bored out to fit...
So here is a pic of the old wheels, and the new wheels...
old wheels are stock 15x7 w/ 30x9.5
new wheels are Helo Maxx 16x8 w/ 265/75

Yes they are driveway shots, I just went to test them out and will post some "dirty" pics soon.
BOOFER 09-01-2006, 01:08 PM Ecellent! Much nicer look. :thumbsup-big:
Anthony 09-01-2006, 03:52 PM Awesome. That's flippin' sweet! (May want to lose the brushgaurd in order to test those tires properly) :D
Luvnit 09-01-2006, 04:46 PM I had posted a question about a poor mans lift but now I see how your X sits.I was wondering what kind of lift you have.I recently purchased the same tires and new wheels that are pretty close to yours its a nice look.
chumpmann 09-01-2006, 06:15 PM Yeah, the rails and guard are next to replace as funds allow....
I got the rancho 2.5", only because a friend of mine gave it to me insanely cheap(long story)
I would of rather of had the 3", the tires could use the extra .5".
Here are some "light" offraoding pics. I say "light" because I just got these tires and dont have the right size spare at this point, also I was by myself and didnt want to get stranded.....

Doesn't cost anything to remove them ;)

Suspension lift does not help with tire clearance. Only a body lift will help you to fit the larger tires, as it raises the wheelwells. With a suspension lift, you still compress to the same point, so the tire will rub the same with or without a lift under compression ("stuffage" as TJ calls it)
chumpmann 09-02-2006, 10:38 AM Yeah, I know it wont cost anything to remove them, but the wife and kids still use them as steps, and I am keeping the guard for looks until I get a new bumper.
Anthony 09-02-2006, 10:45 AM That sounds logical to me. :noworries:
meXTERRA 09-03-2006, 01:53 PM You should repaint your center hubs gloss black to match better. Just a thought.
chumpmann 09-03-2006, 02:11 PM Yeah, that is what I plan on doing. These wheels came with custon chrome center caps that I didnt want to use because they are chrome, I am getting them painted and then I will put them on.
Looks good.
:D
Yeah - as long as you don't break the stuff before you want to e-bay it.
The Rancho lift has no travel either, we measured one, the X did better on the RTI ramp stock, than with the Rancho Lift.
:D
The rear springs snapping from the short Rancho AAL's was a problem too.
:fussball-big:
Oh well...life is a series of compromises....its not like my truck is exactly the way I'd want it in a perfect world either.
chumpmann 09-04-2006, 01:08 PM Well, I did get the lift next to nothing, All I had to do was buy the upper ball joints for the truck, I wasnt complaining about anything for getting any lift for that.
Yeah I thought about trying to go ahead and sell that stuff on Ebay, but for right now I am keeping it on, hopefully I wont damage anything.
