:wink-big::wink-big::wink-big:Hi,there. I am new to this forum but have been in love with my Xterra for some time. It is a 2000 4X4 with 108 thousand plus miles. My Xterra works well for hauling around my kayak, saddlery. hunting and fishing equipment. It has also held a nice buck and citation fish. The only four wheeling I really enjoy is o:wink-big::wink-big::wink-big:n the surf in Hatteras.

Thanks 4 belt advice, but I have other issues. I backed into my boyfriends 52' stude and crushed the passenger side door from the handle to hinge. A real "How Stupid Moment"! The forum may help me with fixing my end of damage, the passenger back Quarter and light.

Welcome to CX!
We can help you with yours but the Stude is on it's own. Sorry to hear about that but stuff happens you know. I mean it's not like you did it on purpose... or did you? lol

Tell me what the plastic part is refered to on the back 1/2 of the back finderwell and can a newer one, with the step, bolt up to my 2000?

Unfortunately the new ones with a molded step will not fit to the 1st gens models. That part is referred to sometimes as a valance.
Is this the part you're looking for?

I have other issues. I backed into my boyfriends 52' stude and crushed the passenger side door from the handle to hinge. That seems to be going around.

Yes. I sure could use that step when loading the kayak. I had problems locating one for my year. Do you know what year they changed? If so Your my new GURU.

The body styles changed in '05 and somewhere in the following production years, the step was added.
What about a wheel-step? It worked well on my buddy's XJ back when we were loading kayaks on his.

That might work for me. First I'll try to find the valance. Thanks for your input. My boyfriend and I collect chevy trucks,12 1950's and 2 1960 models. I had no connections when dealing with my Xterra. Thanks agian Drake!
