It sounds pretty good, it's much more free-flowing, and it's about 6-8" higher off the ground than stock.

I have done that many times, if not everytime I needed a muffler on my cars in the past. I wouldnt call it cheap, I'd call it thrifty.

My primary purpose for the new muffler is increase M's Per G.

It looks shorter than stock. How did you make up the lenghth? did you sleeve it? or did you make extensions out of straight pipe?
How is the vibration without the hanger? I didnt see any fabbed hangers....

I added about 18" of straight 2.25" tubing to make up the lost length. I also removed a down-bend from in front of the stock muffler, attached it to the new muffler, and made it into an up-bend (its the rusty piece on the front of the new muffler in the pic).
The stock hangers are there, except the ones that are on the stock muffler. The new one is so lightweight, it doesn't seem to make a difference at all. If it becomes a problem, I'll add a hanger to the muffler, it lines up with the stock ones anyway.

Yeah it sounds great! Not crazy loud, but I catch people looking all the time.
And honestly I can't really say if it helped the mpg or not... I put the swampers on around the same time, and they really killed the mileage...

Well boggers are nice off road, but I would NOT drive with them on pavement.

Yeah, I had to weld it up. It should pass emissions... its just the muffler that's replaced. All the cats are still in place.
