Factory 6 disc changer wont eject or play cd's..It says Err2 any ideas?

I'd disconnect the pos battery cable for about 10 mins and then reconnect & try again. If it's the same I'd take it to the dealership.

i even took apart the dash last night and un hooked the cd changer a stero for about 25 minutes same thing Err2..my thought was kids put some change in it but didnt see anything.

Part of the reason I hate those non carousel type multi disk players is that they're prone to failure because their transport mechanisms have way too many moving parts. I'm always timid about using more that 1 CD in there at a time.

This is most likely a problem with the drive mechanism. Pathy guys have been having Err2 issues for years.

Apparently the fix for this is to replace the head unit.

i got 6 discs in there any way to get them out other than cut it apart?

It looks like some people have been able to eject after disconnecting/reconnecting the battery.

thanks man the site worked great... i am surprised there is no recall on them i mean gees look at all the ppl with the same problem. and there not just in the xterras either.....

15min to get it out, well let the operation begin. going in to rescue 6 hostages being held...lol...taking no prisioners

mission complete, man the carnage. all rescued no wounded or dead..now to find something to fill the empty space in the dash, any ideas?
