I read some of the other posts in this thread, hope some knowledgeable guys read this in the next 24 hours. In a nutshell - the battery is good, fuses are good, and a new starter. I turn the key on, nothing. Is there a fusible link somewhere? Where can I find a wiring diagram? Has anyone had a problem with an ECM or replaced one? It's an '01 six cylinder automatic, by the way.
Thanks,
Ron

go out and wiggle the battery terminals and then see if it will start.. if not then look at the fuse box under the hood, there are a few clip and when you take the top part off there is a fusible link there that might be bad...
oh and welcome to the club...

I already cleaned the bat terminals. I checked all fuses, and pulled the fuse block up. I don't see any fusible link. What does it look like? Where is it exactly? I was wondering if there was a fusible link under the dash or a security issue. The interior light comes on, headlights work, but nothing happens when I turn on the switch.

New starter...did you have them test it before you took it away from the shop? I've found out that issue more than once with parts from Napa, Autozone, Carquest...they all get bad seeds. As for the fuses, did you pop the lid off of the fuse box directly behind the battery, under the hood? If so you should see two clear top fuses rated at 80A. Check both of those and replace if they are blown or look heavily oxidized.

I tested the starter before I left with it. No fuses are bad under the hood, and I swapped relays, no luck. Like I said I'm getting power to lights, also checked power to starter. I am getting no gauges, no check engine light, no response from turning the key in the ignition.

i think you have either a bad switch on the link under the fuse panel under the hood is bad...

A switch under the fusebox behind the battery? Or a bad link? I don't see a link or a switch. I guess you're referring to one of the 40A fuses (fusible links). I've inspected and swapped fuses still no power to the switch. Only half the fuses on the under-dash fuse panel are hot. I checked the fuse in the security system, which was fine, so I bypassed the system, still nothing.

I don't see how it might be the ignition switch if half the front fuse panel is not getting hot. I think there is another ignition relay I'm not finding. I downloaded the service manual. There are a lot of pages, nearly 1200 in the engine control section alone. I'm going to see if I can get hold of a Nissan tech tomorrow.
Thanks,
Ron

So there is no power to anything whatsoever? Have you tried jumping it?
