Ok, I was driving down Le Suer county 131 last night, as are most roads here, it's gravel. I just got onto pavement when the low pressure indicator came on. I drove the last 5 miles home and upon getting out, heard a hissing noise from the rear pass. tire. A piece of gravel had left an inch long gash across the tires face and penetrated into the interior. I still had half the tread on those Generals, well TJTJ told me they were crap. Anyway, I went to Sams club in Mankato today and purchased a set of Goodyear Wranglers, I've always had excellent luck with them on the Escape, and they're good for about 50k. I'd always bought my tires at Sams, their package deals are just to good, but I went to a different Sams this time, and the guy doing the tire change was a real putz and broke one of the rear wheel studs. Cross threaded the thing, and then tried to tell me that he put them on with his fingers first. To make matters worse, he minimalized the whole thing. The Nissan dealership right across the parking lot fixed it for me and the manager at sams reimbursed me for the cost. I informed the sams club manager that said employee needed to watch a few more customer relations videos. Anyway they look much better than the generals, and I've got the white letters out which is always my favorite. Some of you who've put over sized tires on you X's, let me know how you keep your speed accurate with the size change.
