Last time I checked, Armorall produced shine by using a chemical reaction that migrates the plastic's plasticizers to the surface, which made them look newer and shinier, etc. Repeated use however was shown to eventually destroy the very plastics you were "protecting", as the plastic would become more brittle and "dry" as the plasticizers migrated out of it. So, as the plastic would look great after an application....people saw it worked...when the plastic would later look like it wa fading, etc, they knew another application would bring it back to life...and so on, until the plastic was devoid of adequate plasticizer, and was ruined. Sort of like a kid who licks his lips because they're dry, which dries them more, so he licks them more, until his lips are a chapped, bloody mess. :D modxterra 05-15-2009, 08:05 PM Thats right TJ.
