: About Linking Images
BOOFER 08-18-2006, 10:43 PM About Linking Images
Many of you have been asking about posting pics and resizing. The easiest software plugin is http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/d...powertoys.mspx
Scroll down to where it says "Image resizer" in the right hand column. After you install the software, you can right click on any pic to resize it.
Second, if you want to link any internet pics to a post or your sig, you need to copy the link, and in your post, click on the little icon of the 2 mountains with the yellow sky, and paste it in there.
Also note that joining a free picture hosting site like www.photobucket.com, will allow you to easily insert pics into your posts and sigs. I have started an account there that all of you can use for free. Logon to www.photobucket.com the username is CLUBX_2006 and the password is CLUBX_2006. Then you be able to submit your pics. To link them, right click on the "IMG" link & paste them in your posts.
As always, just ask if you have a question.

An added note:
To get the URL of a picture on a website:
1. Right click on the picture
2. Select "Properties"
3. Highlight and copy the image location (that is the url for the image)
If you have a Mac, instead of the above, you can just hit control - copy image address.
:D
After that, just like you'd do after the above for Win Doze, just
paste it between the and tags in your post.
:D

I thought you were a http://justinland.typepad.com/photos/uncategorized/caveman.jpgwhen it came to computers.....
Anthony 08-19-2006, 01:04 PM Best way to accelerate a Mac, by the way....
9.8 m/s/s :D
Hey, that reminds me - I just switched to Geico.
Saved me about $1,200/year, total.
Hey, even a cave man can learn.
:auslachen2-big:
I learned some from others. :bookclub:
I read up and did research :lesen-big: :informatiker-big:
And went from Cave Man to computer literate within a span of only 25 years.
:prof-big:
:D
Speaking of cave people - Anthony - give me a top of the line Mac and your top of the line PC.
We'll do some video editing and photoshop tasks, a chipo a chipo.
My 16 GB RAM 300 GHz dual quad Mac Pro will blow the fuckin DOORS OFF what ever you've got.
BOOFER 08-19-2006, 01:15 PM So essentially what you're saying is that, I've enriched your intelligence merely by making you a mod?....
And Macs are great for non conformists.
You encouraged me to come down from the trees, into the Silicone Valley. (Great name for a strip club now that I think of it...)
:D
And macs are great for those who want a better, more reliable, more intuitive computer.
:D
Even a cave man can use them.
:D
Anthony 08-19-2006, 03:12 PM TJ - yes I 100% agree that a Mac will kill any PC when it comes to multi-media. But I use mine for business, and in the real estate world, we are IBM drones.
None of us can out type even a DOS IBM POS...so for business, its just a fancy typewriter that can do Excel.
:D
Anthony 08-19-2006, 04:12 PM o for business, its just a fancy typewriter that can do Excel.

EXACTLY!!!
(plus my phone runs on Windows Mobile)
droptop 06-22-2009, 09:59 PM So are you trying to tell us that your phone locks up and won't work either?

can change file size/image size/image type/etc
or Imageshack (http://imageshack.us/) will automatically resize when you upload to whatever size you set.
