Since I will be getting a lift (just the rear right now, but plan on getting a complete one later on) pretty soon, I figured I would start a build thread of my own. (Kuma, I hope you don't mind but I'm using your format)

Origins:
Well, I don't really call my X "Squad X". But for the sake of the thread, and for the thought that it will maybe catch on, I figured I would name the thread with it. I plan on turning it into a rescue-type vehicle with minor extrication gear, medical supplies, fire extinguishers (different types), etc. I am currently a junior fire fighter here in town, and I am considering it for a career.
Day 1: First day I had her, didn't know about the whole "Xterra" thing. I had to accept the fact that I was going to have an SUV for a first car; after looking at pick-up after pick-up, but couldn't find the "right one" according to the parents.

Further on down the road: After I got used to her, and began to accept the roll I had, being an Xterra owner that is, in society and being the envy of all of my friends with their handy-down parents Chevy Trackers, Honda Civics, Honda CR-Vs, Buick Park Avenues, etc. Keep in mind that I was supposed to be getting my dad's '01 Yota Taco. But thanks to the recall and the frame being rusted, he got Toyota to give him $8k back (no KKB 1.5%, since it was a 2001. What BS!). I guess it was a blessing in disguise really. (I later on became smarter and took off the mud flaps and step rails.)

1st Winter:I'm not going to bother explaining what happened again in depth. Long story short my X fought the snow bank, and lost. Read the story here (http://www.clubxterra.org/forums/showthread.php?t=7789). This is where she currently stands of today, along with a broken leaf spring and 135k miles on her. She's still running strong and is awaiting a new leaf, new Bilstein shocks, and AAL 2" leafs.
