My wife's family needs to get rid of a classic due to some unfortunate circumstances (which is partly why I'm not taking it either :( )..
It is I believe a 69 convertible coupe - 6 cyl. It has been parked/garaged ever since I've known her for 20 years. I doubt it runs - supposedly did when it was parked, just parked due to a balljoint issue or something like that. Needs a lot of work, but point is it's a classic with all original stuff - I've even seen the orig owners manual , etc...
How do I go about assessing value for this? especially since it may not run, and need more work than the 'low' value... great project car.
My mother-in-law needs to get rid of it, and she's going to take far less than she should since she thinks it is just an old piece of crap. She can really use the money, so I want to be able to help her get rid of it but get what she should.
