If your looking for suspension, this should be in the suspension thread, not Armor since that is for skids bumpers, etc....

And didn't you ask that in the other thread?

If you get a PML, you should be able to fit 33s barley with a lot of trimming depending on the tire. For 33s you really need a 2in Body lift.

Good luck!

Dinka, I'm running a 3" suspension lift with 33s and it does fine off road. I'm about to add a 2" body lift in a couple of weeks because I'm getting Alcan Rear Springs (which provide a hell of a lot more flex), so I need the extra room for the rear. There are many things you can do to fit 33s and you don't have to go with a full 3" susp. lift if you want to save a little coin. Like others have said, spend $65 on some rear shackles from 4x4parts.com, crank up the t-bars about an inch and a half, and slap on a 2" body lift which you can piece together for $65-$75 (instead of spending over $200 for one through 4x4parts.com ); and 33s will fit with some "minor" trimming. Look in the DIY/How To forum for trimming (I posted up a how-to in that section on that).

Otherwise, for bumpers, sliders, skid plates, etc...this is the right place and all the links that Stevin gave you are a great place to start.

The dumbest question is the one not asked about your X. Even if it's in the wrong forum; at least you asked! ;) :)

I recently had some question about a lift as well. Check out this thread (http://www.clubxterra.org/forums/showthread.php?t=8716). Read through it and you should be able to get an idea of what you need. KEEP IN MIND though, All of the parts listed there are for my X (A 1ST GEN, 2000), you will need to get parts for a 2ND GEN (2004 in your case). Hope it helps...

EDIT: Here's the ARB link (http://www.arbusa.com/Products/Bull-Bars-Bumpers-And-Tire-Carriers/Bull-Bar-Bumper-Product-Images/Bull-Bar-Bumper-Product-Images--Nissan/92.aspx).

EDIT (again): First generations are from 2000 to 2004 (thanks Dave), all of the links on that thread WILL work with your X.

2004 is still a 1st generation X. It's 2005-2009s that are 2nd Generations. All the parts you get will work on 2000-2004 Xterras.

All of that can be found by looking through the DIY/How To forum. Tons of info in there for everything you could want to learn, and probably some stuff you can live the rest of your life without knowing ;) :mocking:

Ideally with no trimming it would be 31x10.50x16 for the tires on just a PML. You can fit a 32x11.50x16, but may need to trim just a tiny bit of plastic, or nothing at all...just depends on whether you get a mud terrain or all terrain (because of the tread).
