I was in Santa Clara about 2 weeks ago and ran into a small situation like that. What that looks like, is a creek at the point where it meets the ocean. When I would walk around the sides of the creek, I would immediately start to sink. My friend and I could barely run out of there. We would start to sink within seconds of putting our foot down. The sand looks firm, but is really saturated from the creek and the ocean. If you look between the tires, you can see a puddle of water. If the one side started to sink and they didn't notice, it seems that it would only take minutes to at least get stuck enough to not be able to get out. Then, eventually get to that point. I can see how this can happen in an extreme case. Just my 2 cents.

If its photoshopped someone did a good job...as the water is being affected by the hood and looks good to me...
