Infused 07-31-2006, 09:02 PM Hows it goin? Im a new xterra owner, went to get an FJ cruiser and ended up getting the xterra x 4x4 6sp mt with the power upgrade and tow package. I had help making my choice from the information gathered here and another forum.So thanks. Either way, good choice, and hell, why not go get it dirty :p The toyota was nice and handled well, however every toyota dealership was a pain, sat and lied to my face about ordering just what I wanted and I got tired of it. I didn't want the toyotas $30 thousand dollar 4x4 that had things I didnt need (All had the options to boost the price). So I saw the new xterra, liked the new look and the widened chasis and decided to test drive it. I liked it better and so did my wife and kids. It was a better choice for room with the kids. I wanted a manual tranny and this transmission was just plain superior in feel to the toyotas. The toyotas gears were very close and just didnt feel as nice as the Nissan's. So I got it and now Im glad we didnt get the FJ. Also the kids would have hated getting into that Fj.
