This isnt entirely acturate I know of at least 3 parks in Iowa within a 2 hour drive that arent listed so its prolly similar with other states.

I guess technically Prentice Cooper really isn't a park. It's a wildlife management area with mapped roads that some of which happen to be very rugged trails.
Be sure to check into those parks listed in your states because some of them like the ones here in Alabama, only allow atv's. No trucks or SUV's allowed. Also check the trail difficulties. Here, most of the parks cater only to the hardcore rock crawlers and extreme rigs or those who don't give a flyin' f*** about destroying their vehicle. Now you see why I drive 4 hours to go wheeling.

Thats the biggest problem with the ones around here. Theres a kickass park 20 min away all the trails are wide enough for a bulldozer but the DNR only allows atvs.... and the other one has very limited trails you can go on without banging up your truck.

Closest one I found in Alabama is about 2 1/2 hours away. Man we need some more parks in South Alabama.
