So i finally got the Flowmaster 40 installed a couple weeks ago.

I paid about $90 bucks for the muffler, but the welding would have run me close to another $100-$150, but i got it done by one of my buddies who owns a truck performance garage for $60.

Sounds great. Did you remove the cats? How loud is it inside your X?

I havent removed the cats yet but im hoping to do that soon, hopefully it would be louder then. As for the loudness inside you really wont hear it if youre listening to music, it also tends to fade away after 3K RPM. But its def louder than stock and you will notice a difference.

ya on mine i removed the back cat converters and it sounded WAAAAAAAAY louder

Did you remove the exhaust resonator behind the muffler?

sounds good. thought it would sound a little ricey but sounds deep an throaty. i need to finish up my exhaust, like a bigger y pipe and possibly remove the 2nd cats.
