freakenfast 07-15-2006, 08:05 PM Hi all new here Just curious what is the largest tires you can install on an 05 xterra with no lift and 17" rims thanks TJTJ 07-16-2006, 10:43 AM Depends on what you are going to use the tires for, like just street, rocks, sand, mud, etc...no one tire does all of those well, and in a 17" size, even if it might fit numerically, there may be no such thing as a tire in that size. Generally, as the OR comes with a 32" tire from the factory (265/75/16), a 17" version would be 265/70/17...so a 285/70/17 would be an easy upgrade, and for some new X's, require no mods, or maybe using a blow dryer to shrink back bulking wheel well liner plastic, etc. :D What bias do you need for the tires, more to on, or off, road, and what terrain? :D freakenfast 07-16-2006, 06:30 PM mud mainly was thinking of 287/70/17s TJTJ 07-16-2006, 07:26 PM So, 285/70/17's for mud...
