Hello All,

I have most of this figured out, but have a couple of questions.

1) My X has the factory side rails (steps) installed. They don't really look like they will take the load if I need to jack in that area. Does anyone have any experience with this. Yes better sliders would be nice, but going with the happy wife happy life theory it will be a while.

2) Is there an adaptor to fit a trailer hitch ? I have not found one so far but I may not be looking for the right thing.

3) Would you recommend a second ground plate, beyond the off road plate, for softer ground. Something made out of plywood to spread the load a little more. I have watched jack plates disappear pretty quick.

1) the factory side steps CANNOT hold enough load to lift the truck off them...sliders only

2) you can jack up right off the hitch, i've done it multiple times in recoveries of my own X

3) unless you are in some seriously soft ground, u usually dont even need the wider offroad base...i doubt you would ever need anything wider than that, usually just the standard jack base works fine
