I need some ideas how to mount my Cobra 29LTD Custom, a big CB, where is the best place to mount it??? I don't see a good place on my 06 XTerra???
Maybe I am not being creative enough?

just get creative with it.
What I would do is sit in your Xterra and wave your hands around, see how far away you can get it without it being inconvenient.

The dash always works well, or you could do under the seat if its not going to be used that often. I have seen them on the sides of the center console, like where your passengers left knee would be.

Thats an option to, but I wouldn't recommend it. I just did it so I don't hit something by accident.

If you have an aftermarket radio I'd say in the lower cubby hole would work but it would be a tight fit with the mic jack. There is no right or wrong spot with those big bastards unless your in a semi and even some of those don't have a good spot for them. Its why mine is staying in the Mack lol. Although I have thought about trying to hang it from the ceiling and removing those map lights.

Btw: you ought to take it to a cb shop and have it them put in the echo/reverb lol best money Ive spent on the hole damn radio was getting it peaked and all the goodies put in lol.

I gave up trying to fit a big CB in a Xterra and bought a Cobra WX ST18 and a single din headunit to replace the 2 din factory headunit. Some people have installed the Cobra or Midland 75s all in the handset types, however I found they had some shortcomings.
