Hi all
I used to be a Toyota man up until my rusty but trusty '88 3.0L 4x4 pickup died an untimely death at only 267,000KM. (lost a valve spring). I was looking to buy another 'Yota, but the overinflated prices sickened me...($20K and up for a 2003 Tacoma with over 100,00KM? Gimme a break!!!!)
A buddy of mine recommended the Xterra (he has an '03 SE), and after a lot of research and tire kicking, I picked up my sweet 2003 silver XE 5 spd with 99,000KM (it was towed behind an RV for many of those kilometers) for only $11,000! Man I love this truck! (I don't consider it an SUV). Solid as a rock, tons of options, and it even has the limited slip diff in the rear.
By far the nicest vehicle I've owned, and I plan on hanging on to it for many years. Seems like it would be a better off roader than my old truck too, I can't wait for summer and camping trips!
