Need a little help 2000 Xterra will not start. Engine Turns over. The fuel pump is not getting any voltage. Also I do not have 12VDC at the fule pump 15amp fuse with the ignition in on or start.
Can anyone tell me how the or where the fuse gets it's power? Thanks.

The battery...? hahaha, well the fuse box is under the steering wheel on the left. Just pull the panel out (fuses are listed on the back of it). Maybe disconnect your battery and make sure there's no corrosion. If so, get it off and maybe sand then inside of the connections. Hope this helps; good luck.

There's also a fuse panel under the hood. not dead sure but I think the fuel pump fuse is under the hood.

Oh yeah that's right. The one for the fuel pump would more likely be in that one. Its located behind the battery.

A little more about the problem. The battery is fine, all fuses are good, have swapped multiple relays. When you tuen the key to ON not start the fuel pump is not coming on. The fuel pump fuse is located under dash 15 amp fuse and with the Key in the ON position I do not get any voltage at the fuse (reading with a meter)??? Can anyone tell me how the fuse gets power from the battery when you turn the key to the on position?

I think there was a recall for fuel pumps. Call up Nissan and give them your VIN#. Maybe they can help you out.

Fuel pump sending unit.
$80 part from Nissan.
If you were in the northeast, there was a recall for it.
The terminals actually power the fuel pump in the tank and they corrode and fail, causing the truck to die. It could happen while you're driving.
If you never had the recall done, then you should try that first.
You can check nissan's website with your VIN number to search for any outstanding recalls for your truck.
Otherwise, it's about $80 for the FSU kit, and it'll take about a half hour to replace.
I'm on my 5th one now. I have it down to about 5 minutes. LOL
Very sad.

I posted a link in a thread titled "useful information". There are FSMs there if you follow the links.

Hate to reserect this thread from the grave, but was there ever a solution found to this?
I'm currently dealing with the same issue.
No 12 volts to the two wire harness at the fuel sending unit.
FSU is fine, as is the pump.
Just no current getting there.
Fuse is fine. I swapped out the relay (hopefully the correct one) and still no voltage.
Any ideas.
