Well we took a trip to Arkansas for Thanksgiving which was the first road trip for the X since purchase 2 months ago. We were loaded down with three adults and one child plus luggage.

Total round trip 810 miles
Avg speed 70-75 mph
Avg MPG 19

Nice pics! So how was the ride? I'm taking it since you posted the stats that you are pleased with it so far?

I am pleased with it all the way around. The ride was nice and quiet I think people under-estimate the X as a highway ride. I do have one question I have 71K and I changed my oil to Val-syn power I am thinking about trany and rearend too. Does anyone have any pros and cons about this?

I'd go fully synthetic and never look back IMHO. I'm in the process of changing all of my fluids over to synthetics and since changing to Royal Purple in my engine, I've been really pleased with it.

To the best of my knowledge, I see no cons in doing it.

Nice pics. Glad you had a good trip in the X. That's so true about the X's on highway behavior. I've had several comments from passengers that I've taken on day long trips that mentioned how quiet & smooth the ride was on and off the highway. I still laugh when I think of the Nissan salesman telling me not to judge the X too harshly on its ride quality because 'it's built on a truck frame'.
