has anybody changed rotors on a 2000 xterra need help

Have not changed mine yet, but it should be the same as any other vehicle. Do you have a Hynes(?)_ manual for the X? That is a must have item if you are goin to do anywork yourself. You can get it any auto parts store or book store.

Haynes sucks....Chilton is better (More up to date).

The FSM is the best though...but they want a fortune for it.

I change it twicw on my 2000 xterra. All you need is phillip head screw driver. Loose two screw on distributor cap (don't have to unplug wire) and loose the screw that hold the rotor, slide it up and away. do reverse on installation. Before you do any work associated with elec. is good practice to disconnect NEG. Cable from the Battery.

Well, he asked about 2 months ago....hopefully, he figured it out, whichever rotor he meant.

(I can't tell for sure which he meant either)

I assumed the brakes, as rotors rather than rotor was used....but the way people type here, he may have meant anything.
