Cant tell if they are stick on or not. Give Brian a call or drop him an email and ask.

I bought tail-light guards for my '03 Xterra on eBay. They were good quality and were the ones that used the existing screws. I think I got them for $95 (including shipping, which was lke 15 dollars or so). I believe the eBay seller's name was truckdepo.

I just bought some on autosanything.com. They screw in, using same screws as the ones holding in your lightss (or so the guy says - I havent received them yet).

Anyways, if you do go, they are pretty generous with the discounts, so just ask for one...

They are cosmetic, and tend to wreck surrounding sheet metal on impact. I'd avoid them.

Too many guys I wheel with had them, and regreted it...and no one ever had them save a tail light either...just do more damage than w/o the guards.

Same with Brush Guards...avoid like the plaugue.

interesting, I have the front end covered, an ARB bumper and winch, but I wanted to protect the taillights. If you say they don't work guess I'll have to re-think the idea.

You are wise.

Ditto to TJTJ's comments...

A friend had them on an early 4runner (or was it a pathfinder... whatever), and a branch or something caught one on a trail run... ripped the front screws out and bent the sheet metal, which cracked the lens.

So instead of replacing a lens (which he probably wouldn't have had to do, since it doesn't stick out), he had to replace a lens and get bodywork done.

Needless to say, the other one came off that night.

Hello, Thank-you for the info's on these tail light guards. I too was thinking of ordering for my wife's X....glad I found this post here.

Looks good on the X but, from what you guys experience...this guard does not do a good job.....thanks for the warning.......Aloha
