what size are those tires? who makes them? I might need to get some new tires in a year or so
timb. 11-05-2008, 06:35 PM yup...that was me. boggers are off and for sale on CL. new 33" bfg mud terrains. will be there in dec. look forward to keeping my lugs on. 40 mph bogger flying into forest=NO FUN. looked 2 day for that sucker till i found it :usuck:. those are super swamper boggers. 31's selling them on CL for 300 60-70% tread.....but the first $200 on clubxterra gets it. local pickup only 31x12.5x15 switched to 33's.
bluex 11-05-2008, 06:38 PM yea I have 33's BFGS M/Ts on my X...love them
TN4x4Xterra 11-05-2008, 06:43 PM yup...that was me. boggers are off and for sale on CL. new 33" bfg mud terrains. will be there in dec. look forward to keeping my lugs on.
Seriously?!?! 2 days???
timb. 11-05-2008, 07:03 PM came off truck at 40-45mph and watched it ramp up side of mountain and shoot 10-15 feet in air and into forest. looked in thorn bushes for first day and found out it went through trees and down mountain across road and followed guard rail a few hundred yards on oposite side of road....i have witnesses lol. 2 day looking in thorn bushes=NO FUN
vandebogart 11-05-2008, 07:17 PM Daammmnn.. that must've been one hell of a ride to have a wheel fall off at 40 mph..
TN4x4Xterra 11-05-2008, 07:26 PM damn.....bet that was fun huntin' for that tire. Get better lugs next time!
02blue4x4 11-05-2008, 07:29 PM did you make that bumper yourself? It looks good. Im curious to see how the winch is mounted though.
silverbullet 11-05-2008, 07:41 PM how much trimming did you have to do to fit those things tim and do they rub alot? can you send me some pics? if I can scrape the cash together I might take them off your hands. gotta check funds though
Xterra Mike 11-05-2008, 07:49 PM if i didn't just buy some MT's i would have definatly bought them from you. Love those things.
twest2006 11-05-2008, 07:51 PM u guys almost inspire me to shift into 4x4 land. haha
timb. 11-05-2008, 08:57 PM you can fit 31's with a PML and a little off the mud flaps(shackles+torsion crank). they rub on full lock (all 12.50's will). just learned to drive without using full lock. you can adjust your steering stop bolts to stop the rubbing....i was just lazy. brand new these cost 800+shipping. just a warning.....these are 6 PLY BIAS tires. not radials. all rubber-no cords. they are EXTREMELY loud and are a rough ride for the first mile till they heat up. 30 psi max and you can run them at 12 psi with a little bulge. 4-8psi with beadlocks.
silverbullet 11-05-2008, 09:06 PM I have 31's now and they fit no problem. I expect full lock rub. Let me think for a bit but dont hold them if somone else has the money first
timb. 11-05-2008, 10:09 PM the bumper was made by solofabworks.com (out of business). the winch (125 lbs.) sits on a 1/4 plate resting on bumper horns. figured that would give the least amount of flex. approach angles stink....i just bash and pray. winch is held on by 8 bolts. currently having Richard (frontier2k1) make me a tire carrier. this is one he completed.

Xterra Mike 11-06-2008, 05:15 AM awesome
TN4x4Xterra 11-06-2008, 10:26 AM Question about the hitch....where do you slide the pin to lock the ball for towing!??!?
silverbullet 11-06-2008, 10:43 AM I bet you can get to it through the bottom.
TN4x4Xterra 11-06-2008, 10:49 AM I was thinking that too but wanted to ask anyways.
Broden21 03-04-2009, 01:07 PM tim do you like your front bumper?? im trying to figure out what i want mine to look like
