Well, I think this forum needs a little off topic to get it going.

My wife is a branch manager, more like a VP of a legal company. Which means, she is working 10 hours a day. When she comes home, she changes into her jammies and hops on the computer (working).

Me, obviously, I miss the girl I married. She always has a cellphone stuck to her head and its always work.

It seems she works 10 hours a day, then comes home & talks to the NYC office about what happened during the day for another 2 hours.

On the weekend, it's just more of the same.

I cant seem to break her out of this rut. Any suggestions?

***Like I said, it's not about the Xterra, but I think this forum needs a little kick in the arse.....

Its sad that the corporate way has changed in the last twenty years or less, to have one person doing the work of three. I finnaly decided to be what I call underemployed....This means I could secure a better job but would be a lot more stress and probably wont live as long as I will being poor and almost stress free.............by the # of views of your wife's pic there must be somebody out there.............

Hey BOOFER7,

I'm not married but I can sympathize with you, my fiance is in university 5 days aweek and working on weekends. We see each other for supper at her folks place for about an hour 2-3 times aweek.( Her mudders cookin' MMMMM). My suggestion would be to just take her away from everything that involves electronic communication and take the Xterra off road where cell phones and computers don't work. It works for the missus and myself when we start to feel distanced from one another.( I'm guilty to of be to involved at work too. ) Good Luck :)

I guess you guys would call me old school. I dont have children but my wife stays home cleans house runs errands cooks dinner takes good care of me. I like it that way and for the last 12 yrs so has she. She worked for about 1 month after we got married. We were working different shifts and never saw each other so she quit her job. I think it was very good for us to get to spend all this time with each other over the years now. Sometimes its a little hard financially but we are always together and thats what we like.
