I recently purchased another muffler for my Emily, but when I went to work on her I realized that putting dual exhaust on her was going to be a little harder than I thought. What I'm curious of is anyone knows if a 2004 X has dual cats or just a single one? If it has two then I can do a true dual no problem, but if it only has one then I need to purchase a second. Any help will be appreciated.

ALSO, if anyone knows how to make it able to turn the fog lights on without turning your lights on, I'd appreciate that info also.

(I haven't had my baby for 2 months because of an accident, so now that I have her back much modding must be done!)

I think there are at least two cats, possibly four and they are before the "y" so going true dual apart from the routing issues should be a piece of cake.

So I went to Lou's Custom Exhaust (local place near me that does amazing work) to have them look over my set up. For anyone who was curious, an 04 X has two cats right after the headers that connect to two resonators. I asked the owner about doing a true dual exhaust. After looking it over he told me it would actually be difficult due to my spare tire being where it is. So, after spending some time talking to him I've decided to go with a shorter muffler (for better throaty tone), remove the resonators, and to up the size of the pipe. I'm going to change it to 3 inches right before the muffler. I should have some pictures up and hopefully a new video in the next few weeks.

Seems like I've been spending so much time on the exhaust system that everything else has been ignored. Though I did just buy a Momo shift knob for my Emily. :-D
