I've had a sore throat for 2 days now. There's a Jewish woman who lives by herself down the road. She likes me and when she heard I had a sore throat, she came to the house (just now) with matzoh ball soup. God that stuff is delicious.

She came in the house & put her hands on my face & said something in yiddish, & she kissed my cheeck. I respectfully went along with the whole thing.

I have to say OMFG! I feel so much better. My throat is as smooth as glass. Is the soup that theraputic or am I just memerised by everything...


Im not religeous but, I cant believe how good this soup is. And I dont know what she said but, I like it. :)

The Jewish have their secrets. My aunt came over and made M-Soup for me, and it has some "special ingredients" mostly herbs and natural remedies. It works wonders. :)

I had a friend who was Jewish, and I had told her once that I don't ever get sick... turns out I was wrong and she brought me over some soup and it was delicious, I asked her what it was she said "Old Jewish Secret"... and I asked if I could have the receipe, she said "Oh.. you don't need it, you never get sick." and walked off.

Besides, Watermelon is MOSTLY water.. hence the name.. so technically its just sugar and water... which is good for you.. right? ;)

I had read an article about home made soups being a cure for colds, the article when on to explain that the salt content of the soups hampers the virus's ability to function, or something along that line. The human body can take high salt levels, but the bugs can't.
