: Greetings from Western Colorado!
powderaddict 08-28-2008, 12:28 PM Hi,
I just bought a 2001 Xterra a couple of days ago. I probably won't be posting too much (I don't get online as much as I like), but this looks like a great forum.
I've always liked the Xterras, and now that the Jimmy died I was able to buy a 2001 with just over 120k on it. It needs a little love (mostly just tires and an alignment), but I'm really looking foward to driving the X, camping, hauling snowboarding stuff, etc.
And since it doesn't exist without pics, I've attached a pic.
I look foward to browsing/lurking/posting!

Drake 08-28-2008, 01:10 PM Looks good! Welcome to CX! :wink-big:
Check to make sure the timing belt has been serviced. Nissan recommends it to be changed at 105K. Once it's replaced, you're good for another 100K.
Being in Western CO, you're pretty much in the mecca of xterra owners. You've got a lot of good guys with a lot of knowledge nearby.
Keyz18 08-28-2008, 02:23 PM Sweet color! Don't see a lot of those these days!

TN4x4Xterra 08-28-2008, 03:24 PM Welcome to CX!
Never seen that color on 2000-2001 models...just '02-'04 models. Nice color though!
powderaddict 08-28-2008, 04:04 PM At first sight I did NOT like the color!! But it's definately grown on me!
It reminds me of the old Landcruisers and Land Rovers.
I can't wait to get the new tires and have a chance to take it down some nice CO trails! I'm hoping to take it up to the Crystal Mill outside Marble CO for fall colors (not a tough trail, but very very pretty).
The more I drive it, the more I like it! Previously my SUV purchases have been out of need (4 wheel drive, hauling stuff) but I never really liked them. I really like driving the X around.

powderaddict 08-29-2008, 04:06 PM Sweet! I'm in Rifle, I have a pass for Sunlight - small mountain, but I like it. And it helps that the company paid for my pass and my wifes pass:thumbsup-big:
I want to try and get up to A-basin later this season to check out the new back-bowl they opened up, that looked pretty sweet. A-Basin is one of my favorite mountains, I love the mountian and how it's never crowded:love-big:
Right now I'm riding a Nitro Team 159, I'm going to try and pick up a Nitro Pantera if I can find one at a good price. I like the Team, it's a great all around board, but I really want a powder board.
I'm no good at the jibin stuff :P!!
