i bought 08 x sport with 23 miles on it. when i drove it home ups had already delivered the nismo cai and airaid throttle body spacer. i installed both the next morning. i ended up getting 367 miles on it before the low fuel light beeped and lit up. when i filled up it took 18.50 gallons to fill it up, so it works out that i was able to get 19.837 mpg average and i should be able to get 417 miles total on a tank full. thats fine with me for a 261 horsepower engine.

now with the mods.... i like the nismo cai, i have had cai on other 4x4s that i own, but this throttle body spacer just seems to make a lot of noise... well its on there now and i guess i'll leave it there, its not hurting anything!

my next mod will be the nismo headers and a flowmaster muffler. i just don't believe a full catback exhaust will benefit me and i'd probably be just flushing my money down the toilet. if i change my mind i can always add the catback later.

i'll just close with this, the 367 miles i got before the low fuel light came on, i did not baby the pedal, i hit a few times and made the engine sing :). what a great little 4x4!

You'll probably find that the mpgs get a bit better after it's broken in. Mine did. If you crawl underneath and take a look at the "Y" pipe you might change your mind on the catback. You have reported the same as everyone else as far as the TBS.
