I guess that's about all to say about it.

I included a couple pics of the in dash screen that was installed very soon after buying (like before I even finished the drive back from Tennessee).

One thing you can't see is that I have mounted the 12 disc changer under the passenger front seat.

Great pics Don!

I actually wanted the Red color as my first choice but I couldnt find it. While we were sitting waiting for the salesjerk to come back to talk to us, I fell in love with the one I have now.

Bitchin head end unit! does it have navigation?

Great pics and great X. I didn't think anybody on this site was into anything other then off-roading. We need more stuff like the head unit on here.

Thanks for the compliments. Red Brawn was my first choice of the colors I could choose from (Yellow, Silver, or Red Brawn). The Wife already has a Silver G sedan, so that color was out, and Yellow just wasn't quite my speed.

I like to go wheelin, but did not get a 4x4 or off-road package, specifically because I would be spending time offroad breaking things. I primarily need something to cart around people, training materials (for the job), tow the Jetskis to and from the lake, haul camping gear, and to occasionally tow cars as fixing up other Nissans (240SX, 300ZX TT) is a big hobby.

Both the head unit, DVD player, and disc changer are all Clarion. I have been a huge fan of them for a number of years.

It's a pretty good unit, can't recall the number off the top of my head, but it's a C-Net unit. Right now it is set up so that it does DVD, TV, CD, MP3's, and will even do picture CD's. Because it is C-Net, if you are insane enough or have enough need, you can actually daisy chain together up to 6 of the 12 disc changers. I also have AV input plugs out to the passenger side so if someone chose to (friends on trips), then the PS2 could be plugged in directly as an AV as well. It has video outputs for up to 4 additional screens without an output amplifier (have one sitting in the garage).

It does not currently have the navigation system set up with it, but as I understand it, there is a nav unit that will plug in with it.

Factory speakers will need to come out next. I have long been a fan of MB Quart, so most likely that will be the choice.

If anyone has the factory sub and box that fits under the drivers seat, I was thinking I might use that along with one of my spare amps from the garage. The problem is that I do not want to do anything that is going to compromise cargo or people space in the X.

Many moons ago I used to do competition car audio as a hobby. Thus I have massive amounts of left over stuff, or still get really great prices on the new equipment.

I'm out of town this weekend so all I have is the lap top with me, so I don't think I have pics of the Z with me. I'll get one or two up soon. Just let it go in Feb. It was a 91 300ZX TT. Awesome car, but picked up a Convertible 240SX that I have been wanting for a long time and the wife wouldn't let me keep both.

Here in the last few years I/We have had several.

00 Crew Cab Frontier was the daily driver for quite a while.

03.5 G35 Sedan is the wife's daily driver

94 J30t is the fixer upper I just finished up for the sister in law

03 Spec V was a fixer upper that I picked up, put back together and enjoyed till someone going to the liquor store crossed paths and I t-boned him (his fault)

99 Maxima was the wife's car until we got the G sedan for her

91 300ZX TT was another fun project car I had and then let go to a friend. Before letting it go, it had an HKS Turbo Timer, Greddy full exhaust, Doolz intake, Front Mount Intercooler, JWT computer, and a few stereo upgrades.

93 240SX convertible. One of only 8320 made. It's black on black. So far I have done the manual transmission conversion, 300ZX rotors and 4 piston calipers, Steel braided brake lines, 17 inch Enkei RP05's, NISMO front and rear sway bars, Energy Suspension Polyeurethane Tension Control Rods, Polyeurethane Bushing Kit to replace all bushings, Front strut tower bar, NISMO motor mounts and transmission mount. Alpine head unit, Rockford Fosgate speakers, and MTX Amplifier. Probably going to add a couple subs and another amplifier for that one. Next on the list for modifications is suspension, and I'll be going with Tein springs and KYB non adjustable struts. The general idea being to take care of absolutely everything before doing the motor swap so that is the last thing in the process

Thanks much, Nissans seem to be quite addicting...

Perhaps more on the vert as it comes along in the off topic section.

Not sure what to do next with the X, any suggestions?

Did you find the under seat sub? I would love to do that. When I was younger I did car audio install.

Great place to hide a sub. I don't want the box in the back for space reasons and don't want people to see it.

No I haven't laid hands on an under seat sub. That's on the to do list as well. All a matter of time. Just something more to take care of. :) There never seems to be enough time, but that's ok good things to those who wait and all that sort of thing...

I'm getting ready to start back tinkering on the convertible next week.

Just picked up my '08 Red Brawn X a few days ago. Love it so far. Had the same color on my '07 Titan. Nissans are addicting. Stereo/audio mods will be the first probably after the holidays. Already dropping the gift card hint for Christmas shopping. hehehe.
