just changed the atf put what the manual recomended which was dextrol 3 and changed the filter also....I also dumped in this additive stuff man forgot the name but i kinda slipped a little to much its like a hair above the line though. anyways i noticed when i was running the car the temps were normal then all of a sudden when i put it in park and let it idle the temp guage goes pretty high up about the half way point? any ideas? it couldn't be cause i topped it off a little to much could it

Hey i had 95 Bonneville and the temp gauge would fluctuate like that, i think it something Pontiac does with thier vehicles? sorry im of no help but just thought i put in my two cents lol

Are you talking about the engine or trans temp? We have a Oldsmobile Alero and it always stays at about halfway on engine temp. The car is poor design with no grill, hard to get air into the radiator.

i believe its the engine temp whatever the guage on the dashboard is reading.....well i found out the darn car has been doing that for a while now so oh well guess it wasn't anything i did lol thanks though guys
