Don't put too much stick in the car fax report. It relies on everyone even the mom and pop body shops to report damage repairs. I bought a 2000 F-350 with a clean car fax, and found out it hand a whole new (used) front end under it. The previous owner was a company lease, so they fixed it and gave it back without reporting it.
