Damn....how deep did you get stuck?
Not easy to do from what I hear....I hear it involves rippin' the carpet out, taking the seats out to air dry, or could let things dry out on its own then put in a de-humidifer in the X and leave it running all night/day for a day...but wont bring back the original color of carpet.

it was from me climbing in and out of my truck... muddy hands from the tow strap getting droped in the mud lead to one big mess on the inside and i was up tp my undercarrige in a stock 1st gen X

if its real bad i would say to get a carpet cleaner and remove the seats and do the whole carpet.... then do the seats while you have them out....

its not real bad ill take pictures of my interior tomorrow and show you. it just spots on the seats and a wet cloth seems to be doing good on the door panels and the dash im just nervous around my switches.

When I had a similar situation involving a dog losing the contents of it's bowels around the inside of the Xterra I removed the seats and carpet and squirted them with the hose. Then scrubbed them with some laundry detergent and rinsed them again with the hose.
It actually turned out better than it was before the dog let loose.
A damp rag will work around the hard plastics with a toothbrush for the corners.
