Has anyone replaced the blower resistor for the fan speeds? If so whats the process and is it worth doing yourself. I have the new part.

on my 2000 xterra the fan only works on the 4 setting. sounds like i may have resistor problems, as well. i'll watch for information on repair advice.

I can get you the instructions on how to do it yourself from Alldata. Let me know if you have a fax available.

Hey Guys, I'm no mechanic but i just replaced my blower resistor in my 02 Xterra. It took all of 5 mins. Phillips screwdriver and a flashlight is all you need. Mine was located just under the glovebox on the passenger side. The guys at Nissan Motors here in my neck of the ocean showed me how to do it just cause they didn't want to charge me $ 62.50/hr for 5 mins work. The funny thing about those things is that i know 4 other nissan owners whose resistors just went in the last couple of weeks. 2 Frontiers/2Xterras Weird ?

Good Luck
