The truck I had before the X was a 94 full sized Bronco. It offically died at 188K miles. After which I bought the X as a replacement. What was yours? post a pic if you have one.....

2000 Jeep Cherokee Limited that had to have the rear replaced at 39k (out of warrantee), clockspring at 45k and various pieces of the front suspension (from the tie rods, tie rod ends, bearings, bushings, dual damper, track bar, etc, in an attempt to get rid of the infamous "death wobble".

I had an 02 X XE and was going in to pay it off and they had a Solar OR6 Spd and took it for a drive. You know the rest.

I had a '96 GMC Jimmy SLT, I figured it was time to move to another car when the front drivers side tire sat a bit crooked, making it wear on the inside of the tire faster than the rest. And the 4WD and ABS died somewhere in the past few years.

Almost happened to me. I went to the dealer to get a part and they had an 03 Pathfinder that i really liked, but I would not talk to any sales person about it, becuase I knew I would leave the lot with it.

Here we go, old faithful, well almost. One of the best vehicle I've ever owned, except that the automatic tranny which gave out at 130k. I tried to buy another, but ford doesn't make any suv's with manual trannys anymore. Thus, the Xterra. It's got a new 3000.00 transmission, and my wife drives it now. I do miss it though.

How many horses did it have?

175 from the factory....i put in a short shifter and cai...added a few more...the real kick was the torque- 185 stock....you could literally melt the tires off of it when you mashed the pedal down...not the most powerful car in the world, but compared to a stock sentra, it was pretty awesome...my brother drives and acura rsx-type s and the spec v would run nose to nose with it off the line....all that and over 30 mpg on the highway

I had a white 03 Spec V. They were amazingly fun to play with. Bang for the buck Nissan really had that one dialed in. Unfortunately they did away with the aggressive nose after the 03 model, and they all essentially look the same now. I had the Rockford package, sunroof, CAI, Greddy exhaust, and OBX header. It unfortunately got totalled May 05.

Sometimes I think I'm a little hard on equipment.

indeed....it was a great car....i was a little sorry to see it go...still miss it sometimes..and i agree...after the body style change i didn't like them nearly as much....although the altima se-r is quite nice looking

My first in 1991 was 84 ford ranger, had a 2" lift. I spent more time getting it fixed than driving.
Then in 1994 I got a brand new Mitsubishi Mighty max 4x4. It was just like the little mighty max except it was a little higher and some more rugged tires.
I was about to have it lifted and bigger tires put on in 2000, But I saw a little commercial with Lenny Krazitz rockin to the Xterra. I then saved my moneu for 2 more years, almost got a 2000, but I laid eyes on a brand new 2002 Solar Yellow Xterra XE, and had to have it. end of story.
